Dr. Wlodzimierz Czarnecki passed away. A doctor, an activist of the Polish Community, as well as the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Poland died last night (on February 16th) in Toronto. The Board of the CPC Manitoba District would like to express their deepest condolences to his Family

Wlodzimierz Czarnecki lived in Winnipeg for the past 34 years. He worked in the St. Boniface Hospital as well as in the Victoria Hospital as a Cardiologist. But most importantly, he was very heavily involved in the Polonia matters in Manitoba.

Dr. Czarnecki was a liaison between Consulate General in Toronto and the Government of Manitoba, he organized meetings between diplomats and politicians. He participated in the Polish community events, and in his speeches he was emphasizing the role of culture in creating strong Polonia. In 2014 he became an Honorary Consul of the Republic of Poland in Manitoba. He served this mission until September 2020.

On Monday, February 22, 2021, CPC Manitoba District is organizing a Holy Mass in memory of Dr. Wlodzimierz Czarnecki. Unfortunately, due to Pandemic restrictions, a limited number of people will be able to attend it in-person.
