Summer session of Polish Program in Krakow

The Polish Language and Culture course provides a study experience at Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland. The course features practical language training in Polish, and an exploration of the Polish culture. Students participate in lectures on Polish culture, history, literature, and contemporary issues. In addition, this travel/study course offers a variety of cultural and social activities in and around Krakow that give students a unique opportunity to see some of the masterpieces of Polish art and architecture.

Language course taught in collaboration with School of Polish Language and Culture of the Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland. Course POL2690 Polish Language and Culture can be combined with POL2660 Polish Cultural Memory Today allowing students to get total of 9 credits for study abroad. All students must have approval of instructor. There are no
prerequisites for the courses.

Travel dates is July 5 to August 2, 2020. Tuition fee is 7,996PLN paid directly to the School of Polish Language and Culture of the Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland. The travel fee incluses: language instruction, accommodation (dormitory), 2 meals per day, textbooks and local excursions. Airfare, personal expenses, health and trip cancellation insurance, as well as University of Manitoba tuition are not included. Students are responsible for their travel arrangements to Krakow, Poland (and return), in accordance with the published course dates.

Students must register in the course at the University of Manitoba and submit Program Application with 500PLN non-refundable deposit by April 30.
